Looking for a laptop carrying case that can hold two laptops? Because of company and customer requirments I have two laptop systems. They work on different networks and have to be configured differently. I need both of them when I work from home or travel and carrying two laptop cases and having to check one is not working very will. What are the guidelines for computer cases on airlines? My husband and I going to be flying for a business trip. He said he heard that there is a new regulation regarding laptop carrying cases. Something about having to have a FAA Approved Laptop Case with no zippers, etc. I can't find anything on the TSA website or our airline site. Has anyone else heard anything about this new regulation? I've seen some laptop cases I really like in a couple of stores locally, but try as I might I can't find a website for them to compare prices (the high street is hideously expensive where I live, so I always compare prices before I buy, and just buy it online if it's a lot cheaper, which it usually is!). The labels on them say they are American Tourister by Samsonite, and they come in various styles and colors, of the sort designed to appeal to women around college age. There is a backpack style which is the one I'm interested in, plus an over the shoulder tote and a briefcase with short handles and an optional long strap. I've also seen a rolling suitcase in the same style. I think they're called the Enchantment range, but the only mention I've seen of them online is random pages in price-comparison websites and the like. What is the best way to place a laptop in a laptop carrying case? Should I put it in battery first to reduce weight on the front of the computer, or should I put the battery end in last so that I don't need to pull on the front in order to get it back out of the case? I have a 9 cell battery and it seems like a lot of weight to put onto the laptop, but by putting it in first then I seem to have to exert quite a lot of pressure on the front of the laptop to haul it out of the case... Will an airline allow a makeup case, laptop case, & carry-on piece? Want to carry laptop separate from makeup (medium size) case on my trip. Also taking a small rolling duffle for overhead.
