How to return leather bags to China?
We imported 2000 leather bags from China. Upon examining, we found several defective ones. How can I return them?

- When I was in Nanjing, China in the early 90's, I studied international trade in college. You don't return them. You inform the Chinese supplier of the problem. They will: 1) send the replacements to you by air or by sea, depending on how urgently you need them. Sea transport may take 12 to 15 days to arrive at US west coast. Air shipping takes 2 to 3 days, but more expensive. 2) Wire cash to your bank account to compensate the finacial loss you have suffered. 3) Offer a discount on your next order of the same products. 4) Ask you to have the products repaired locally. The repair costs will be borne by the Chiness guys. Fax them the bill. It's always a good idea to order a few extra. If you had ordered 2010 pcs instead of exactly 2000, you would not have fallen into a trouble like this. The Chinese guys would be more than glad to offer you 10 extra, free of charge, to save both sides from the mess, if you had placed orders with them on regular basis.
