annually? I "hope" so. I don't want them to make more money because I don't want to lose our computers, new cars, houses, pets, designer clothes/bags/sunglasses, ability to donate to charities, vacations, and all the perks that my parents gave me because they dared to work hard. How do i stop my parents from making more money so I don't lose all my stuff? I don't want my parents to make less or more than $249,999 if Obama is elected ( that darn pesky dollar).

They, like people making much less will be victims of Obama's conniving tax scheme, and his lies that they will somehow "come out ahead." That man is a Marxist and you can't trust him. He's telling people what he knows is necessary, but believing in him is like believing in a con man. With Obama's wealth redistribution agenda, massive unemployment could occur, along with a great depression. Some of us are aware enough to see and understand this through foresight; but for others who have been suckered in by him, it will be hindsight. Those people will stand around shaking their heads, as if they shouldn't have known better. There are suckers born every minute. Look how many people play the lottery, gamble, ect. They're really not qualified to vote, but they're going to be voting for the demagogue, Obama, when a sound and principled team of McCain and Palin exists. This is really sad how half of the country has been brainwashed by Obama. He never should have been voted to the Senate in Illinois.

Don't worry. Even if you are making between 250K and around 600K you would only be taxed an additional $12 a year under Obama's plan. It's people making over 2.5 Million that will be taxed at much higher rates. Check out his tax plan. It's really quite fair and logical. Unlike McCain's tax plan which will give the rich (since according to him if you make 2.5 million, you're MIDDLE CLASS) and corporations $300Billion dollars worth of tax CUTS. Yeah, that's fair. Please, stop listening to Republican lies. Just look up the facts for yourself and make an informed decision.
First of all OBama won't give anything without the advice and consent of Congress..if the recession increase..taxes will go up past president have said *no new taxes or no higher taxes* and then put through a very high tax..and said *opps my bad*..it happens don't believe politicians..this is just promise

The proposed programs he has made will need tax increases at nearly every level of American life including your parents and people retired and on social security. We are already one of the most taxed countries in the world and it will get much worse with a President Obama. Keep in mind, beyond the new taxes on individuals he is proposing large tax increases on businesses. The fact is that businesses do not pay taxes, rather, they collect them by passing them on through higher prices to customers such as you and I. With Senator Obama, Senator Harry Reed, and Congress woman Polosy, we have the government not only controlled by the democratic party but by the wing of the party which represents a socialist approach to government. It will be a disaster. Because the very large increases in expenditures which they are planning they will have no choice but to increase the supply of money which will further debase the value of our currency. This is the most insidious tax of all because it is so hidden from the public. If you believe the current economic (really credit) crisis is bad, let them get total control and it will make current situations look like a play ground game for children. If you are 'really' interested on this subject get a book on Austrian economics and teach yourself how an economy actually works for the betterment of the individual.
Most of those $250,000 plus income rich people are actually small business owners. They have to file as individuals for their business. So.. when Daddy dies..yep.. the kids should have to sell it all to make the death taxes and have to start all over again on their own. It's only fair. The government is more deserving of Daddy's sweat and risks than his family is.
If you lose all that stuff because your parents actually have to pay social security on every cent they earn like the rest of us do, then your parents had no business getting it for you in the first place. It's called living within your means, something that everyone from the ultra-rich to the ultra-poor have a problem with in our society. My parents together currently make about 300k together, and when I was born they were working at a fast-food joint. They've worked their butts off to get where they're at, but you know what, I think they should pay more in taxes than they do. My dad is one of those small business owners some other person was talking about, and he gets an ungodly amount of tax breaks because of it. Besides, your parents' good fortune doesn't necessarily mean they worked harder than anybody else. With my parents, it was as much about luck and who they knew. It also doesn't mean they were better educated because both my parents have nothing more than Associates degrees. And, finally, your parents should pay more in taxes because they're quite obviously consuming more than the average Joe on the street. 8% of 249,999 is 19,999.92. That's more than my uncle, who has a Master's degree, currently makes in a year.
If your parents are smart enough to make $249,999, don't you think they can find another dollar out there?Or at the least a competent accountant? If it did come out to exactly $249,999, then no break because then you have the people who fell 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 dollars short crying for a break too.
You dont understand income taxes. Tax rates apply to the income OVER a certain level. i.e. if you make 249K you will be taxed at the prevailing rate (28%?) and if you make 251K, the incremental thousand dollars you make above the 250k threshold gets taxed at the higher rate (31%?). Its really not that tremendous a burden for those with high incomes.
Obama has you snowed. Everybody, under his plan, will be taxed unless they are below the poverty level. Obama knows nothing about economics and is using Jimmy Carter's game plan which was a complete failure. I'm sure you are too young to remember those years but I see in my State the same crap all over again. Lack of Gas. Long Lines at the Pump. Inflated Gas prices. Look carefully at the Economy. It was going quite well until Democrats regained power in Congress two years ago then everything went to Hell. The only Change Obama is going to give you is Pocket Change in your savings account and your 401K. Democrats are clueless.
